Why is Mineola Community Bank changing its name to Broadstreet Bank?
As we continue to expand our footprint across East Texas, we wanted to have a name that was supportive of all of the communities we serve. Broadstreet Bank honors our roots, embodies our present, and paves the way for our future.
Why Broadstreet Bank?
Since 1934, our bank has operated on Broad Street in the heart of Mineola. It is where our story began and where our roots are firmly planted. Choosing Broadstreet Bank as our new name is a way for us to honor those roots while paving the way for future growth into new communities.
Broad Street is defined as a thoroughfare or means of traveling between places. This new name represents our connection between the communities we serve and Broad Street will always be the road that brings you back home.
Was the bank sold?
No, the change in brand does not reflect a change in ownership. We are fortunate to be in a strong position that has given us the opportunity to continue to grow but we will remain the same great community-focused bank we’ve always been.
How does this name change impact me as a customer?
For Mineola Community Bank customers, very little is changing. Yes, the signage and logo will be different, but you will still see the same faces you are accustomed to each time you walk in the bank.
Will my account number change?
No, our routing number and account numbers are not changing.
Will my current debit card and checks continue to work?
Yes, all debit cards and checks will continue to function normally. Debit cards for existing customers will be reissued over time, reflecting the new Broadstreet Bank name and brand, free of charge. Customers will also be upgraded to a contactless card at the time of renewal. When it is time to reorder checks, they will have the new branding on them if ordered through our provider.
Will I need to download a new app on my smartphone or tablet?
No, the app will not need to be re-downloaded, but it will need to be updated (if you have automatic updates this will happen automatically). The update will have the new name and following favicon:
Will the bank contact information change?
Phone numbers and mailing addresses for all locations will stay the same. As we shift to the new name, the website www.mineolacb.com will become a landing page that will redirect customers to www.broadstreet.bank. Please reset your favorites and bookmarks when this happens. On the same day, we will also start sending/receiving emails from the .BANK domain. Employee email addresses will change from [email protected] to the employee’s first initial/last name @broadstreet.bank. For example, [email protected].
Why are you using the .BANK domain?
The .BANK domain is exclusively for banks and is recognized as the global platform for growth and innovation in the financial services industry. It requires strict registration requirements, helps to prevent users from being redirected to fake bank websites, and makes it more difficult for criminals to phish and spoof emails. We believe our customers deserve the best online security and this domain ensures a trusted, verified and more secure location for our online banking services.
Will my FDIC Insurance coverage be affected?
No, Broadstreet Bank will continue to be a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and insurance coverage will remain the same as it has always been.
When will this change take place?
The new name, along with a new logo, tagline and visual identity, will launch later this fall. During the next few months, you’ll see our new logo popping up as we work toward rolling out our new brand.
What is the new logo?
